All warships were retired on the completion of the Harushio class submarine. The Uzushio class submarine (Whirlpools) was a class of submarine, in service with Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force which was the first generation of the teardrop type submarine that values the underwater performance again of the conventional type ship type to the Asashio class submarine.
