Bundesliga, but failed to meet the financial requirements to play at this level, so were forced to drop down into the Regionalliga. As a result, almost the entire squad from last season was lost, with only three players remaining, and the club had to build an entirely new team, with a number of players coming through from the youth and reserve teams. Dynamo ended the season in 4th place.
