This book discusses the performance of check valves with springs and seats made of Yttria stabilized zirconia. The experimental data was correlated to a metal spring equation with certain modifications to compare the performance of the ceramic check valves. The work was carried out at University of Alabama Huntsville under the able guidance of Dr James E Smith, Jr and support from Parker and Hannifin Corporation, Valves Division, Jacksonville, Alabama
