The project was previously known as the IBM eServer 1350 or e1350. In November 2001, IBM introduced the eServer cluster 1300 (or e1300) based on then-current Pentium III products. In October 2002 this was replaced with the introduction of Pentium 4 based Intel Xeon products with the e1350.
