High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Melbourne Jewish Radio Inc. was an incorporated association which operated Lion FM - a community radio station in Melbourne, Australia. The association had a temporary community broadcasting licence (TCBL) issued by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) to broadcast in the FM band for an initial 12 month period that ended on 13 June 2011. Subsequently, Lion FM has been limited to streaming on the internet. There is no data on listener numbers, but at the date radio transmission ceased here were almost 1000 in the Lion FM Facebook Group --- out of the Melbourne Jewish population of circa 40,000.
