Founded by Stan Satin from his experience playing in Atlanta bands Vietnam and The Method Actors, Scared Records, whose name was chosen by subverting the defunct religious record label of the 1940s – 50s Sacred Records, soon became the home for many of the Atlanta area's almost forgotten punk era bands such as The Restraints and Vietnam.
