He has premiered over twenty-one works by contemporary composers since 2001. Also notably, he performed the world premiere of Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji's Sonata No. 0 at Carnegie Hall in 2002, as well as created the first recordings of it. In the past seven years, he has performed twenty-eight of Beethoven's thirty-two piano sonatas at various major venues to fulfill his pledge to perform all of Beethoven's piano works (including chamber music and lieder) before his 250th birthday in 2020.
