This was the game that was runner up in the 2004 Spiel des Jahres and much encouraged the subsequent trend towards abstract games in Germany. Reiner Knizia is the author of these and many other of Sophisticated Games' publications, and the company also used top artists such as John Howe and Ted Nasmith in its Lord of the Rings games.
