Some of the winners and finalists of the show have impacted significantly on the Australian and New Zealand music charts. Season three winner Reece Mastin is the most successful contestant, having released two top-five albums and three number-one singles, with nine platinum and four gold certifications. Other contestants, most notably season one winners Random and season two winner Altiyan Childs, have only charted with their early releases.
