Yoshizaki-Gob?

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Yoshizaki-gob? was a temple in the town of Arawashi, Sakai District, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. It is most well-known for its connection to Rennyo, the founder of the Ikk? sect of Buddhism. At the time, it was simply Yoshizaki, Echizen Province. When Rennyo was chased from Kyoto and out of his position as Chief Abbot of the Honganji, in 1471, Ichijoin of K?fuku-ji, priest of Yoshizaki, left it to Rennyo. He built a priestly residence there, and quickly gained a following among the surrounding peasants and farmers which developed into the sect of Ikk?, or 'single-mindedness.'
